Attention Announcement
Admission to basic doctoral studies (PhD) and doctoral studies (DSc) is announced at the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan
• 12.00.01 – Theory and history of state and law. History of legal doctrines 2 (PhD), 1 (DSc)
• 12.00.13 – Human rights 2 (PhD), 1 (DSc)
Applicants for basic doctoral studies (PhD) and doctoral studies (DSc) must register through the website daraja.ilmiy.uz from September 15 to October 15, 2026 and submit all necessary documents to the Institute in the prescribed manner.
The following are admitted to basic doctoral studies:
• those who have a master's degree or a diploma of higher education (in specialized programs);
• scientific results that can form the basis of a dissertation research for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), including at least one article published in scientific journals and at least two abstracts included in collections of scientific works in relevant areas.
• National or equivalent international certificate at level B2. (National and international certificates determining the level of knowledge of foreign languages recognized for admission to secondary specialized, professional, higher and postgraduate education)
Persons who meet the following requirements are admitted to doctoral studies:
• Candidate of Sciences or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent scientific degrees obtained in foreign countries;
• have achieved significant scientific achievements after receiving the scientific degree of Candidate of Sciences or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or other scientific degrees equivalent to them, including at least three scientific articles published in scientific journals that can form the basis of dissertation research for obtaining the scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences (DSc), as well as at least two theses in collections of scientific works of scientific and practical conferences, seminars and relevant scientific areas.
Postgraduate education lasts up to three years.
