"On measures to develop a culture of reading and increase interest in reading among the population"
In order to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-9 dated January 15, 2026, "On measures to develop a culture of reading and increase interest in reading among the population," a "Book Corner" and a "Reading Hour" were established at the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. On September 22, 2026, Amir Timur’s work *Temur Tuzuklari* (The Institutes of Timur) was discussed as part of the "Reading Hour."
During the event, it was highlighted that the work pays special attention to issues such as state governance, maintaining discipline, adhering to principles of justice, the responsibilities of leaders and staff, military and civil administration, and taking into account the interests of the people.
Furthermore, the necessity of studying the views on state governance and leadership presented in the work from a historical perspective, as well as analyzing their spiritual and educational significance, was noted.
Professor A. Tulyaganov spoke at the event, emphasizing that issues of justice and state governance play a significant role in *Temur Tuzuklari* and that the work serves as an important source for fostering historical memory and respect for national values among the younger generation. Those who actively participated in the event were awarded valuable gifts by the Deputy Director for Research of the Institute of State and Law.
